Growing up in a small town, I remember spending Saturday afternoons at the movies. My dad would drop my brothers and me off at our favorite store to shop for our weekly toy. Then we would walk over to the movie theater to spend the afternoon eating popcorn, drinking soda pop, and watching our favorite movie. Nobody thought anything about leaving their children to walk around town...

Being a former amateur model myself, I can relate to the information in this article. It was very interesting and informative up until the last paragraph. Once I started reading the last paragraph, I became very confused, as most of the statements in that paragraph did not make sense. For instance, the first statement “….it is not uncommon to receive some suggestion for repositio...

Since “Dancing with the Stars” is one of my favorite shows, I was hoping to read that Paula Abdul will be one of the star dancers on the next season of Dancing with the Stars. Instead I found the article only mentioned that show in one or two sentences. The remainder of the article discussed how Paula is doing well after leaving the show, “American Idol”, but there are doubts and conce...

No one had to ask or beg or implore, I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before. My Gramps died at Pearl on a day in December."Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas Gram always remembers.""My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ' Nam ',And now it is my turn and so, here I am.I've not seen my own son in more than a while,But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile."Then he bent and he...

I received this beautiful poem through my email and would like to share it with all of you. Since it is so long, I had to split it into two parts. Don’t forget to read the second part once it is posted.AUTHOR UNKNOWN…The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight. My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,My daughter beside me, angelic i...

I loved this article! I have long been a huge fan of ballroom dancing. As a child I spent my time watching old musical movies, especially the ones with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. I liked all the Fred Astaire movies, but it seems that Ginger Rogers co-starred with Fred more than any other female star. And they seemed to be a perfect match for ballroom dancing. So ...

It was a sad day for me when I read about the great movie icon, Charlton Heston passing away back in October, 2009. I was one of his best fans and can’t recall a single one of his movies that I did not like.Heston was so famous that he even has a write-up in the free encyclopedia, Wikipedia, which says, “Heston is known for having played heroic roles, such as Moses in The Ten Commandments, C...

I really enjoyed reading this article. I’m a great fan of the old black and white movies and was happy to see a website out there that talks about the ‘good old movies’ of yesteryear. However, I did not understand the part where the author talks about Clark Gable not being very successful after returning from the war. Gable made many movies in the forties and fifties and I though...
